"The Children's Voice" Book Release

I am honored to have one of my paintings included in a delightful new book called "The Children's Voice: A Definitive Collection of Welsh Nursery Rhymes" written by Peter Anthony Freeman and published by A Raven Above Press.

Please join me for the book release party and enjoy all the other St. David's Day/National Day of Wales festivities on Sunday, March 3, 2013!

My painting is brand new and has not been shown anywhere! ...and to torture y'all a bit, I will not be posting a photo of it for the time being, so if you want to see it, come on out and pick up a copy!

I will be enjoying the festivities throughout the day, so I look forward to having a drink and laugh with all my Los Angeles friends... and hopefully meeting some new ones.

Cheers!

~John Charles

Book Release Party for 'The Children's Voice: A Definitive Collection of Welsh Nursery Rhymes' by Peter Anthony Freeman

Join us at the St. David's Day Festival for the official release party of 'The Children's Voice: A Definitive Collection of Welsh Nursery Rhymes' by Peter Anthony Freeman!

Peter will be reading from the book at 12 and available for signings at the table for A Raven Above Press & Rorshoq Books directly after.

The Children's Voice features over 27 different artists from the US and Wales bridged together to create the most cherished and timeless Welsh nursery rhyme book imagined.

The Children's Voice includes an all-star cast of illustrators from Nathan Wyburn (Abergavenny, UK) jamming Y Broga Bach on toast, Anthony Richards of (Ammanford, UK) dripping Bwrw Glaw, and Siobhan Owen rendering Fuoch chi Rioed yn Morio?, and many more!

Freeman is at his best revealing the origin and background of the Welsh rhymes, providing the reader with meaningful insight into Welsh family dynamics and how social and economic factors impacted the roots of the stories told.

Participating artists:
Nathan Wyburn, Anthony Richards, Siobhan Owen, Michele Witchipoo, Kimberly Wlassak, Rochelle Shelly Rosenkild, Brian Kenny, Nichola Hope, Sarah Hope, Rhys Jones, Kerry Evans, Jo Mazelis, Judy Adamson, Spine Stealer, Karen Richards, Laurent Castiau, Gaabriel Becket, Xavier Lopez Jr., Jason Shepherd, Adrien Burke, Danny Walden, Robert Karr, John Charles, Grasiela Rodriguez, Casey Ruic, Daniele Serra, and Lorin Morgan-Richards.
